Man, I feel like I haven't drawn my own original characters for ages. This is one of my more recent versions of Mariel, based on what I wanted her to be before she got taken up into the whole Steel Hearts project.

I swear drawing those wings on paper was practically orgasmic. Too bad my colouring skills sucks and I didn't do the sketch quite the justice I wished to commit;

Her outfit is not completely accurate in this version but...oh what the hell XD I'll probably change something in a matter of weeks anyway.

Some Info. incase you wanted to know:
Mariel is the final archangel of destruction, and is the last warning humanity will receive before the coming of the end. She was created last out of the angels so that she would have an objective view- an opinion untainted by the battles that were raging between the heavenly and demonic realms, nor the self destructive histories of humanity as a whole.

She was dropped into the mortal realm to fend for herself, susceptible to the same emotional and physical pains man can suffer and her powers were sealed away with each of her six wings.

The first wing remained as a hairpiece on the right side of her head, allowing her memories of the heavens. Her second wing fell onto earth, into a Bounty Hunter permanently scarred with sin and damned to hell by the acts of his now deceased parents. He unwillingly becomes her protector, but upon seeing her true nature, swears to never let her bloody her hands with the death of another. Her third wing became his weapon, the Exorcist, which can easily penetrate any creature that intends to harm Mariel.

Her last three wings were sealed down into her halo, a golden circle beneath her feet, which only appears in her greatest times of distress. It would also spread out across the world, destroying the land and unleashing the great leviathan from its cosmic slumber when she- in her deepest pits of despair- calls out a plea to return to heaven.
