I try not to mention my childhood interests/activities to the people I know now, for the obvious reasons that I was a complete ignorant twat whose done possibly every single dumbass blaspheme on the interwebs that I could think of, from image tracing, edits, fanfiction (LMFAO), ICQ (oh come on, it's totally lameass now), xanga (ROFL that place is so outdated, yet apparently it's still popular?) netspeak (blarg), cyber forum wars (actually kinda still do that;; ), 'art criticism' (aka bashery top the most extreme) annnnnnnndddd Mary Sues XD
This is my first ever Mary Sue. Without a doubt she's changed a lot from her original design, and yes, I love Digimon, at least the first season of it. A great majority of the second season simply DOES NOT EXIST (denialdenial) to me simply because it is (especially the ending) so full of crap and I'm under the impression that the producers thought it would be funny to screw a whole nation of children over just because they can (LOLWHUTSORATOHAHHAHA).
They should have stopped at one. They really should have. Or left the second season all bittersweet like the first ...not ruin the characters by making them grow up, with children and occupations. I mean, by anime terms "growing up" and "having children" is about the same as killing the character;;; PEOPLE OVER 20 SIMPLY DO NOT EXIST ON ANIME LAND (yes this is a joke please don't give me an essay over how this statement is untrue. I KNOW.)
Anyway, this girl is my FDD (Fictional Digidestined as they called in back in the days. Ahhh I feel old T__T) and she is, basically my first REAL motivation to draw online X3 Despite being the most despicable Mary Sue ever (swear she is perfect. She's also sort of artificial due to future ' plot ' changes, but she can do just about anything but...perhaps fly...and possibly Martial arts...but who needs self protection when you have DIGIMON!?) she is definitely my favourite creation...ESPECIALLY HER HAIR;
It's actually getting shorter by the years, and now it's like...CROISSANT BANGS!!!!
I wish I could look like her, but alas reality denies it so.
This only happened because I was getting Nostalgic while actively looking for Digimon song for...no apparent reason other than to indulge in nostalgia (By the way, they have SO MANY SONGS; Way more than the entire Macross franchise put together. It's insane!!! There's like 3 different versions of the first opening BUTTERFLY, one by the lovely Wada Kouji, another covered by this other dude for his cover album which features Wada and Maeda Ai, and yet ANOTHER one which is sung by the entire cast of boys + their digimon in season 1 which is...horrendous but STILL!!!) and this drawing sort of slowly popped up X3 I loved it so much I had to complete it :'D
Someday she'll have a story of her own, unattached in some denial fanfic of some children's cartoon XD
Anyhow, there you go, a disturbing insight into Ippie's childhood. GO RUN! RUN CRYING INTO THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT.
P.S Title of the picture was jsut the song I was listening to (Days~Aijou to nichijou~ by Maeda Ai) which was...ironically from the third season, but OH WELLS. That one didn't exist to me either. Neither did the 4th one which had no real digimon bonding >A> and the 5th one I didn't even bother watching;;; hahaha;;;
Man.. I was in 8th grade when Digimon first aired. lol I didn't see an episode until high school, though. Never caught on with it.
But this picture is very nice. I love her outfit and how you did her hair. Great work on the coloring and pose as well. I find it amusing to go back to creations we've did in our childhood and redo them.
I like characters having children, it's the reason why I almost turned my back on a lot of comics...(the characters never aged!!) But I've accepted that as a quirk, mroe out of neccesity(read: ran out of comics I could read)

*totally flooded by her childhood love for Digimon again* TT _ TT Why did I have to be awkwardly older at the time it came out? (I had 2 younger sisters that would've been the normal target age and yet I was the one who liked it wtf)

This feature was brought together by my watchers and hours of browsing galleries for inspiring pieces that have gone unnoticed. Here are the results, one hundred beautiful photographs with under one hundred favorites. Let's give these artists the attention they deserve <3
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
